Former State of Department employee Cheryl Mills has been urged to testify by close aides of Hillary Clinton. Mills help set up a private server for Hillary Clinton, a Democratic Party presidential aspirant. However the staffer has maintained that he will assert his rights not to testify.
Recently Clinton has been dodged in criticism about using a private server for government business when she was Secretary of State. She has since struggled to explain her decision. Bryan Pagliano’s response to the GOP led committee was not welcomed when he was interviewed about the deadly 2012 terror attacks in Libya.
Pagliano’s attorneys sent a letter to the committee saying that he would not testify the coming week. In a turn of events Maryland Representative Elijah Cummings who was the top Democrat on Benghazi panel said he wasn’t surprised the former staffer refused to testify. He also said that the investigation is meant to ‘derail Hillary Clinton’s nomination by any means necessary.’
Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, said “We hope that everyone cooperates but at the end of the day I think what’s important is to hear from Hillary herself.” Members of the House panel have questioned Cheryl Mills on closed doors on Thursday.
