Not once has Bernie Sanders said that he’s doing everything he can in order to clinch the Democratic nomination, vowing to compete until the last vote is cast. However, he somehow forgot about all these, confirming that he will vote for Hillary Clinton in the general elections, scheduled for November.

It’s official: The Bern will give Hillary his support

According to The Guardian, this is the first time the Vermont Senator explicitly supports his Democratic adversary, which is definitely a big win for Clinton’s campaign.

Bernie making his support for the Democratic nominee public automatically means that his supporters are also encouraged to vote for Hillary Clinton, after a period in which a lot of supporters were contesting the legitimacy of the primary process.

“Yes – I think the issue right here is, I’m going to do everything I can to defeat Donald Trump,” Bernie Sanders said to a CNN reporter.

“We do not need a president whose cornerstone of his campaign is bigotry, is insulting Mexicans and Latinos, and Muslims and women, who does not believe the reality of climate change when virtually every scientist who has studied this issue understands we are at a global crisis. This is not somebody who should become president,” the Senator added.

“It doesn’t appear that I’m going to be the nominee.”

We can imagine it was hard for Bernie Sanders to accept the defeat, but in the end, if he doesn’t want Donald Trump to become president, he must join Hillary Clinton and unite the Democrat party once and for all.

A few weeks ago, on June 10, after being defeated in the California primary, the Bern met with President Barack Obama and assured his that he will do his best to support Hillary Clinton.

He has done what he needs to do as a sitting US Senator. He owes it to his constituents to behave professionally and work effectively in the Senate, which means suspending his battle against Clinton corruption — for now. That doesn’t mean that he’ll go around shilling for Hillary as Warren is doing, albeit with carefully chosen words. (“she’s a fighter, a fighter with guts.”) Instead, it means that Sanders will devote part of his time railing against Trump and urging voters to defeat him, and the rest of it encouraging grassroots organization among progressives.

But this primary season has been full of surprises. Could it be that the FBI has yet another one in store?
