Democratic Gun Control Makes No Sense

One of the big hot button topics of the 2016 election is of course, gun control.

The term ‘gun control’ just doesn’t work for some reason. The best way to control a gun is to either keep it holstered or back on the rack in the gun cabinet. Semantics aside, the real issue is ‘people control’, something that civilizations have tried since the dawn of time with some success and lots of failures.

With the Democrats going after the gun control issue, you see each one of the top candidates with their own version of what needs to be done to keep the tens of millions of legal gun owners and millions of criminals not shoot at each other.

Background checks to determine if a person is worthy of carrying a gun seems to work and all of the top Dems agree with this, however, their restrictions on sales across the board just violator far too many Constitutional safeguards and would make it next to impossible for a law abiding citizen to purchase a firearm for protection, much less ammunition.

The criminal underworld wouldn’t have a problem getting guns. There are no restrictions. They have a tendency to steal them or even purchase them legally in bulk. If the Liberals are going to handle any gun control they have to face the criminals first, but that’s too difficult, instead they go after the law abiding and responsible citizen who has a Constitutional right to ‘keep and bear arms’.

Why? Because the honest citizens are easy pickins. The powers that be can interrupt them easier, freeze their assets, track them down, and run into far less risk when trying to commandeer weapons and other properties.

Criminals on the other hand have a tendency to fight to the death if need be.

The Democrats are rattling their sabers regarding gun control but they’re not addressing the primary cause of the mass shootings and over 100,000 injuries and roughly 12,000 killings per year. In the rare mass shootings, it constantly comes to light that the shooter was mentally ill and consuming psychiatric medication known to be hazardous. You won’t see the Democrats going after the medical and Big Pharma regarding dangerous mind altering drugs. Why? Because that Big Pharma money is what fuels today’s politics. Those fat dollars coming in from the pharmaceutical industry are mandatory if any candidate even hopes of running for office.

Mental illness, drugs, irresponsibility by gun owners regarding cleaning and maintenance and storage safety all come into play. The Democrats’ heart might be in the right place, but their convoluted solutions are unrealistic, delusional, and would do more damage than good.

What’s needed is mental health screening, gun safety and responsibility classes, civic cooperation and gun sellers willing to take responsibility to do the best they can regarding sales of guns to honest, sane, citizens.

Yeah. But try to tell that to an insane person , a person who has lost control in a road rage incident, a criminal, a terrorist, an alcoholic, a drug addict.

In fact, thats the reason we have strict controls over “arms” like hand grenades, machine guns, nuclear weapons, stinger missiles, RPG’s, claymore mines. They are all “arms” under the 2nd amendment. They are all inanimate objects.
BUT WHO IS IN FAVOR OF SELLING hand grenades, machine guns, nuclear weapons, stinger missiles, RPG’s, claymore mines. at Walmart???

Common sense only works with normal people. That’s why we control hand grenades, machine guns, nuclear weapons, stinger missiles, RPG’s, claymore mines.
Because not everyone exercises common sense
