When we thought that Republican front-runner Donald Trump can’t surprise us any more, things took a really unexpected turn during last night’s GOP debate. Recently, Florida Senator Marco Rubio made comments about the size of the businessman’s hands, but little did he know what answer Trump had.
That moment when you have a comeback prepared
“You know what they say about men with small hands”, Donald Trump said, stretching his hands so the audience can see. Then, he wanted to suggest that the myth according to which “something else must be small” was false, says CNN Politics.
“I guarantee you there’s no problem”, Trump claimed, triggering a round of mixed reactions from the audience of the GOP debate, hosted by Fox News.
There’s no need to say that this was one of the most unbelievable moments from the campaign so far, a campaign dominated by acid remarks and personal attacks. Also, Donald Trump‘s statement abut his genitals came after a full day of throwing words at Mitt Romney, the GOP nominee from 2012, who condemned the front-runner.
Strong words from Mr. Romney
“Here’s what I know: Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud,” Romney said in his speech from Salt Lake City. “His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He’s playing members of the American public for suckers. He gets a free ride to the White House, and all we get is a lousy hat.”
Like expected, Mr. Trump didn’t remained silent, responding in his characteristic style.
“He was a failed candidate, he should have beaten President Obama very easy. He failed miserably and it was an embarrassment to everybody,” the businessman said. “I guess obviously he wants to be relevant, he wants to be back in the game.”
Finally, despite all these statements made by the front-runner, he can rely on the support of his competitors, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich, if he will be the GOP nominee for the White House race.
