Seeing Donald Trump giving various nicknames to his opponents doesn’t come as a surprise anymore, especially if his target is Hillary Clinton, his number one rival at the moment.
Is Trump running out of creativity?
If until now the businessman was referring to the Democratic nominee as “Crooked Hillary”, he recently used a possible new nickname, one that he’s already used on a previous opponent.
“Lyin’ Hillary Clinton told the FBI that she did not know the “C” markings on documents stood for CLASSIFIED. How can this be happening?” Donald Trump tweeted this Sunday, referring to the FBI findings released last week.
According to Business Insider, this is pretty much the same nickname Trump gave to Texas Senator Ted Cruz during the primaries, when he was referring to him as “Lyin’ Ted”.
Of course, “Lyin’ Hillary” is just one of the numerous names the Republican nominee had for Hillary Clingon, alongside “Heartless Hillary”, “Unstable Hillary” or “Incompetent Hillary”, everything culminating with the launch of the website LyingCrookedHillary.com.
Hillary Clinton, a constant target
This wasn’t the only attack targeted to Clinton from this weekend, as Donald Trump also mocked her for the relatively poor national polls results, while also subtly referring to her health, another favorite topic for the real estate’s mogul campaign. Over the past weeks, not once he declared that the Democrat lacks the “mental and physical stamina” to be president.
Such tactics aren’t surprising, however, as this aggressive speech – even though it was intensely softened lately – is one of Donald Trump’s trademarks. Also, Democrats aren’t his sole target, as Republicans can be criticized as well, like fellow GOP member, Arizona Senator Jeff Flake, who refused to endorse him and many others.
