The fact that Donald Trump is currently leading the Republican race for the White House is not a surprise, but he’s about to change the rules of politics.
According to The New York Times, Donald Trump has been promising a “next phase” for his campaign, including a wave ot TV commercials. Still, until now, we haven’t seen any of them, even though it’s been a few weeks until the Republican announced them.
How much research Trump’s team has done after all?
The same source claims that his team of advertisers haven’t given any details about the existence of any pollers or advertising team in the Republican’s campaign staff. Also, he doesn’t seem to have any real research operation, in order to examine the vulnerabilities he or his opponents have.
Until now, Donald Trump managed to create himself an image of a political force, even though he seems to have opted to not spend his campaign budget in conventional ways that could give him an even substantial advantage in the race for the White House.
Even more, we can say that Mr. Trump is actually sliding away from the traditional strategy winning campaigns have used for many decades.
Donald Trump can dominate the media
“On any given day, Trump can dominate the news coverage of the entire race,” said Craig Robinson, former Republican Party of Iowa executive director, currently publishing on the Iowa Republican website. “I can see how such power might make a campaign think that they don’t need to spend money on costly TV ads and direct mail.”
Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump‘s campaign manager, declined to discuss the Republican’s advertising strategy. Still, he wanted to mention that the candidate had “unlimited resources and will use those to ensure his message on how to make America great again gets to as many voters as possible.”
