Donald Trump’s Muslims ban: there would be implications

Republican presidential front-runner, Donald Trump made a campaign press release on December 7, 2015 which reads that: “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.” This is aside his calls for the creation of a national database of Muslims in the United State of America as well as surveillance against mosques.
About three months ago, same Donald Trump, at a campaign stop at Iowa, claimed that he loved Muslims and would appoint them into his cabinet.
Many Republican Presidential candidates might have some notions about immigration, such as Ted Cruz who came up with legislation to keep out refugees coming to America for at least 3 years if they hail from countries controlled by Islamic State group or Al-qaida; yet they kicked against this extreme action!
Many have opined that the implication of Donald Trump’s ban on Muslims would be catastrophic on America. According to US News, since 23% of the world’s population is believed to be Muslims, would this ban affect Muslims world leaders, tourists and relatives of Americans? With his popularity, he could clinch that Republican ticket and go on to the White House. The price to be paid if he thinks of implementing his policies would be suffered by America and how long it would take to undo this damage is unknown.
US News says the real danger to this rhetoric is from friends and allies abroad, even as it makes America more vulnerable.
