Breaking News: Paul Ryan Is The New Speaker Of The House

Paul Ryan is the new Speaker of the House. This will make him the 54th Speaker in American history.

He was born on January 29, 1970 in Janesville, Wisconsin. His father is an attorney named Paul M. Ryan, his mother is Elizabeth “Betty” (Hutter) Ryan Douglas.

He is married to Janna Ryan from December 2, 2000 to the present and has three children, Charlie, Liza, and Sam.

He’s a graduate of Miami University, Ohio with a B.A..
He’s Roman Catholic and an outdoor sports enthusiast specializing in bow hunting.

He’s had a long service career, not long after his graduating college. He was a legisltive aide to Senator Robert Kasten of Wisconsin, Legislative director for Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas, a speechwriter for Rep. Jack Kemp (R-NY).

He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for the 1st District of Wisconsin in November 1998 and continued re-lections up to present day.

He’s a new breed of lawmaker that stands on solid ground and reaches not only the old guard but the new guard as well.

With his new post, he’ll be under scrutiny like never before. He’s young and energetic and has shown incredible responsibility as a husband, father, and civic leader.

Only time will tell how Paul Ryan fares, but for now, he’s shining like a new light in a dark tunnel.
