According to CBS News, a gunman opened fire in Rancho Tehama, Northern California, using a semi-automatic rifle and two handguns, making four victims. Eventually, the suspect wounded more victims at an elementary school, right before the officers shot and killed them.

What tweet?

Trump’s response, which was deleted in the meantime, but is timestamped at 11:34 p.m. on November 14, mentioned another similar unfortunate event. To be more specific, the President’s tweet referred to the mass shooting at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Spring, Texas, which happened on November 5, resulting in 26 deaths and 20 injured people.

“May God be with the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI and Law Enforcement has arrived,” Donald Trump wrote, offering his thoughts and prayer to the wrong town.

Apparently, this tweet was informed by his initial message, regarding the shooting in Sutherland Springs.

“May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas,” his previous tweet, sent on November 5, read. “The FBI & law enforcement are on the scene. I am monitoring the situation from Japan.”

The Internet reacted immediately!

Obviously, a lot of users noticed this mistake and quickly criticized him, claiming that he keeps making such mistakes lately. Some of them even mentioned that, considering how often mass shootings have occurred in the United States lately, it’s actually hard to keep track of them.

Unfortunately, this is actually true and there’s no sign of stopping, unless a new firearms regulation will be issued, restricting access to guns for anybody.

He lost the GOP’s support completely

According to The Washington Post, Moore was called by senior Republicans to drop out the race for the Senate and threatened to expel him from the Senate, in case of a victory.

Beverly Young Nelso, the latest accuser, declared during a news conference held in New York that Roy Moore attacked her when she was 16 and he was a prosecutor in Etowah County, Alabama. She was represented at the conference by Gloria Allred, a lawyer specialized in cases of sexual harassment.

“I tried fighting him off, while yelling at him to stop, but instead of stopping, he began squeezing my neck attempting to force my head onto his crotch,” Beverly Young Nelson said in a statement she issued at the conference.

She also mentioned that Roy Moore warned her that “no one will believe you” if she told anyone about their encounter.

A few hours before the conference, Republican leader Senator Mitch McConnel declared that Mr. Moore should seriously consider stepping aside the Senate race, also adding that he believes all five accusers.

As for a possible replacement for the Senate race, the GOP is now thinking about encouraging a write-in candidate to run in the special election, happening on December 12.

Not the first time Moore is under the spotlight

Roy Moore is a judge who was twice removed from the United States’ high court, first for his refusal to remove the Ten Commandments from the Supreme Court grounds, then for refusing to accept gay marriage.

After all these accusations, he responded defiantly, showing no sign of leaving the race for the Senate.

But, like expected, the president responded a few hours later, in his own, characteristic way, using Twitter.

On the other side, when he was asked, during a new conference in Vietnam, about a possibility of becoming friends with Kim Jong-un, Donald Trump did not rule it out completely.

“Strange things happen in life. That might be a strange thing that happens. But it is certainly a possibility,” he said. “If that did happen, it would be a good thing for, I can tell you, for North Korea. But it would also be good for lots of other places, and it would be good for the world.”

Currently, Trump is in Vietnam, as a part of his two-week tour in Asia. Of course, North Korea’s infamous nuclear weapons program has been one of the main aspects he focused one, while talking with his counterparts from Japan, South Korea and China.

Ignoring the pressure from the media

According to CNN, de Blasio basically rewrote recent history, as he managed to win another term, despite being under constant assault from tabloid newspapers, while doing little himself to smooth over his testy relationship with New Yorkers.

This Tuesday, the Mayor pushed one more time for a new tax on the wealthy, with the purpose of funding repairs for the NY subway system, constantly dealing with serious issues. However, he was praised the most after touting Democratic wins in the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial races.

“I bring you tidings of joy this evening, because America got a little fairer tonight, America got a little bluer tonight,” Bill de Blasio told supporters at a victory party in Brooklyn.

The President wasn’t forgotten!

Of course, he didn’t miss the chance to mention Donald Trump, a native New Yorker.

“Tonight, New York City sent a message. You can’t take on New York values and win, Mister President. If you turn against the values of your hometown, your hometown will fight back.”

During Donald Trump’s term, a progressive politician’s victory represents a new sign for backing an argument that ambitious, broad-based economic reforms can actually win over political skeptics, not to mention breaking through the wall of criticism coming from moderate Democrats.

What Did Trump Promise?

Who Will Benefit & Who Will Suffer?

In simple terms, there is hardly anyone, rich or poor, in the USA that can safely say they will benefit from these proposed changes. One reason is the fact that they haven’t been properly defined yet, but it is much more due to the fact that there seems to be no true intention of making health care plans any more financially sustainable.

As a result, benefits will not go to those deserving of them – the poor, elderly, women and everyday working people – the life and soul of the US. Insurance companies are definitely going to benefit from the American Health Care Act should all the clauses related to them remain unaltered. They would be able to set their own prices without any government interference regarding the subsidies.

To address the more urgent matter of who will suffer, it is safe to say that the estimated number of nearly 22 million US citizens currently under the Affordable Health Act will be affected. Low-income and poverty-stricken communities are not going to be able to afford health care. Women may suffer a direct attack on their reproductive rights and the chronically ill could be left without their diabetes, asthma or HIV pills, for instance.

The name of the employee wasn’t revealed, but it seems that the action was deliberate and manage to keep @realdonaldtrump down for 11 minutes. During the entire downtime, anybody visiting the Twitter page saw the message “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!”

No sign of human errors, since it was a deliberate action

Initially, it was believed that the account was deactivated “due to human error by a Twitter employee”, according to the same statement. However, soon after this, @Twittergov posted a new statement, revealing the real reason behind Donald Trump’s account being taken down.

“Through our investigation we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day. We are conducting a full internal review,” the new statement said.

Like expected, the initial statement managed to stir some speculation on its own, people being convinced that an employee was responsible.

More and more people want Trump off Twitter

Prior to this, there have been several calls for Twitter to even suspend Donald Trump’s account, especially after he made the threats to North Korea. However, when such things happen, the social networks marks the profile with the message “Account Suspended”.

Some people even speculated that the President may have deactivated the account on his own or that he may have been hacked. It is well known that mogul has poor security standards, continuing to use his old, unsecured Android device after moving into the White House, instead of relying on a secure and encrypted smartphone, approved by the Secret Service.

Currently, Donald Trump has more than 40 million followers on Twitter, being well known for his infamous messages coming from this account, instead of using the official @POTUS one.

Saipov was eventually charged with federal terrorism offenses, so President Donald Trump reacted immediately, saying that he should be executed.

“NYC terrorist was happy as he asked to hang ISIS flag in his hospital room. He killed 8 people, badly injured 12. SHOULD GET DEATH PENALTY!’ he tweeted late Wednesday night.

The suspect planned everything for a year, while two months ago he decided to use a truck, in order “to inflict maximum damage against civilians.”

The truck was rented on October 22, in order to practice making turns ahead of the attack. On Tuesday, he rented the truck again, for two hours, but without any intention of ever returning it.

After hitting pedestrians in the area of the attack, he was planning to “proceed to the Brooklyn Bridge to continue to strike pedestrians.”

The “White Lives Matter” rally, as the organizers called it, was planned by a Southern nationalist group, going by the name of The League of the South. However, they weren’t the only ones expected to be present at the rally, since other extreme-right and neo-Nazi groups joined them in the protest, wearing black, as well as bearing helmets and shields.

Multiple locations were targeted

The march was supposed to start at Shelbyville, then continue all the way to Murfreesboro, about 20 miles. Eventually, the second part was cancelled, according to Brad Griffin, the organization’s public relations chief.

According to multiple sources, almost 1,000 counterprotesters had gathered in Murfreesboro, in order to oppose the demonstrators.

In both cities targeted by the nationalist organization, police took measures, by setting up barricades, in an attempt to separate the two factions on opposite sides of the road. People were also advised to avoid the areas targeted by the rally, so the surroundings of the Shelbyville event were nearly deserted.

But why these specific locations?

The organizations decided to hold these rallies in Shelbyville and Murfreesboro, both situated in central Tennessee, due to familiarity, city demographics and, of course, several prominent local news stories.

Back in 2013, the League of the South also held a rally in Shelbyville, in order to bring attention to refugee resettlement in that zone. Everything went ok, without any incidents, so the organizers trust the local law enforcement to protect them again, in 2017.

However, the name of the target wasn’t made public, but we do know that the soldiers did not success in capturing him, due to the attack.

This Monday, Marine Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, declared the the Green Berets were on a reconnaissance mission, with a low risk of contact with the enemy. The military is also investigating whether the mission changed while in progress.

Another official, with direct knowledge about the current investigation, said that the soldiers in Niger were gathering information about their potential target. Eventually, after finding an approximate location, they decided to go on an pursue him.

Still, for the moment, it is unknown if the unit got the authorization for proceeding with the pursuit, and whether the risks were assessed or not.

Another official said that it’s very possible that 30 Nigerian troops, who were accompanying the Americans, were the ones that decided to pursue the target.

U.S. officials believe that the unit was expected by the attackers, as residents in a village they visited earlier tipped militants about the upcoming raid. However, this is another scenario which remains unclear.

The mission in Niger was carried out under the auspices of a program initiated during Barack Obama’s administration - Juniper Shield-, then reauthorized under the current administration.

The program was intended to “disrupt or neutralize” terrorist organizations operating across North and West Africa, believe to be connected to Al Qaeda or ISIS.
