The next US presidential election takes place on November 8, 2016, but the battle between Republicans and Democrats, that are hoping to win the White House in 2016, is underway . Some notable faces enrolled in this race, but two of the candidates for the White House took us a little by surprise, so we’re going to discuss their candidacy, with goods and bads.
Maybe this time he will be lucky. Or not?
Donald Trump is a business magnate and television personality. He announced his candidacy on June 16, 2015 and his official campaign slogan is „Make America Great Again!”. It surely tickled peoples’ ego, their pride to live in America, the greatest country in the world. In his candidacy speech, he talked about „making US bigger and better and stronger than ever before”. One other thing that Trump wants to clear out is that „he’not a debater, he get things done”.
As a conservative Republican, Trump is pro border security. On July 6, during a speech, he even made a statement about illegal immigrants, coming from Mexico, that drew strong reactions from critics. The 69 years old business man would also ban abortion and replace the „Obamacare” with a free market plan and competition to lower costs, if he gets elected.
Since his 1988 presidential election candidacy, Trump was considered a potential candidate for President in nearly every election. So, this 28 years gap is the reason why he’s considered one of the surprise candidates for the White House.
Does the King of Instagram stand a chance?
Dan Blizerian, on the other hand, is a young, millionaire playboy who loves playing with his daddy’s money. He launched a presidential campaign tour last month, with appearances at five different clubs in Toronto, Montreal, New York and Boston, being one of the most interesting candidates for the White House.
The King of Instagram, as he is called, also released a campaign video, but, not surprisingly, it featured no politics talk, but only guns, booze and girls in bikini. Although this clearly was a publicity stunt, „the bearded one” would surely be a surprise candidate for the White House if he pursues his dream.
Any thoughts on this? Do you think that these two candidates for the White House stand a chances against ‘bigger’ names?
