The mass shooting in Orlando was the perfect occasion for Donald Trump to attack Barack Obama once again, but this time, he took the accusations to a whole new level, claiming that the President is an ISIS supporter, citing a suspicious newspaper as “evidence”.
Check your sources again, Mr. Trump!
Republican leaders were also shocked by this declarations and, to everybody’s surprise, the spoke out against their party’s nominee, but Trump continued with his idea, tweeting an article from Breitbart, a right news wing site, according to The Telegraph.
The story is claiming that “Hillary Clinton received a classified intelligence report stating that the Obama administration was actively supporting Al-Qaeda in Iraq, the terrorist group that became the Islamic State”.
What Donald Trump didn’t knew is that the article was referring to an intelligence assessment, from 2012, on the war in Syria which claimed nothing of the sort, says the above mentioned source.
To be more specific, the White House has indeed provide military support to the rebel operation, but it was limited and it had long imposed strict measure, in order to avoid helping extremist elements.
He might have something personal with Muslim immigrants
While important American politic figures have called for unity after the Orlando massacre, when 49 people were killed at a gay nightclub on Sunday, Donald Trump continued with his attacks on Muslim immigrants, without knowing that the attacker, Omar Mateen, was actually born in New York.
Even more, he kept sustaining his idea that President Barack Obama is behind all this attacks, being connected with jihadist groups, a claim considered ridiculous by most people.
“He claims to know our enemy, and yet he continues to prioritise our enemy over our allies and, for that matter, the American people,” Donald Trump said, attracting several critics from both Republicans and Democrats.
